Articulation Convention is a workshop model focused on teaching the basics of communication, self-expression and organisation. Articulation Convention is currently made up of six key themes – Self-presentation, Imagination, Organisation and gathering, Methods, Input and Business – but the curriculum is changing and growing with time.

 

The project aims to develop several skills relevant to the field of design, such as courage, reaction, improvisation, imagination, self-organisation and co-operation through practicing various exercises and assignments created specifically for the AC. Articulation Convention can take the form of an evening of exercises or a week of thorough analysis through different assignments, active discussion, readings, film screenings and field trips.

 

Workshops have so far been carried out at the Sandberg Institute, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Werkplaats Typografie (ArtEZ Institute of the Arts), Estonian Academy of the Arts and the Ventriloquist Summer School in Oslo.
