Vee
Vee draws inspiration from Venus, a sans-serif typeface family released by the Bauer Type Foundry in 1907 that was popular throughout the first half of the twentieth century. Having regularly worked with Venus in her own designs, Laura was eager to develop a typeface that references its distinctive character while introducing new qualities of its own. Vee could be considered Venus’ younger, more mischievous sister.
Vee is a collaboration between Laura Pappa and Tüpokompanii, developed from a micro-degree course in type design taught by Aimur Takk and Andree Paat at the Estonian Academy of Arts in autumn 2022.
